Opal traveled to Jersey City to participate in her Juneteenth Walk, marking the 400th anniversary of Slavery from 1619 to 2019.
She revived her grassroots walking campaign from 2016 to highlight the importance of Juneteenth being recognized as a National Day of Observance, before it was officially a holiday.
