Join us in celebrating Juneteenth and World Sickle Cell Day this June with the Juneteenth Sickle Cell Anemia Walk. Sickle Cell Association of South Louisiana (SCASL) has partnered with the Lafayette Juneteenth committee to recognize the two causes as they both are on June 19.

About the event

Join us in celebrating Juneteenth and World Sickle Cell Day this June with the Juneteenth Sickle Cell Anemia Walk. Sickle Cell Association of South Louisiana (SCASL) has partnered with the Lafayette Juneteenth committee to recognize the two causes as they both are on June 19, the walk is scheduled for June 17, 2023.  During the walk, we hope to bring awareness to sickle cell disease and the community it mainly effects, the African American community.

All funds raised through the walk will go towards sickle cell patient care coordination through the SCASL.
